Take Good Care of Them
Because a well-maintained leather product can have many lives, here are some tips to take care of yours. Leather care products, care instructions, repairs: Let’s review.
Smooth Leather
In leather, like everything else: What’s precious is fragile.
Smooth leather, considered to be the most prestigious, is no exception. Despite all your precautions, smooth leather has a tendency to show marks.
Good news: With the right maintenance, over time smooth leather develops a shiny patina that harmonizes signs of wear.
To condition it, we recommend applying universal cream, which conditions and cleans the leather, twice a year. This will allow the leather to age more harmoniously and preserve its suppleness.
If there’s a mark or a deep scratch through which the flesh side is visible, you’ll have to get the leather recolored. To do this, you can contact superman@rsvp-paris.com or drop off your product at one of our boutiques.
* We recommend the Saphir brand
Grained Leather
Less fragile than smooth leather, grained leather also requires less maintenance.
The grain applied mechanically during the tanning process creates a fine relief on the hide, which makes the leather more resistant to marking from daily wear.
However, it requires maintenance from time to time in order to develop under optimal conditions.
Just like for smooth leather, we recommend applying universal cream*, which conditions and cleans the leather, twice a year. This will allow the leather to age more harmoniously and preserve its suppleness.

Care Instructions
Generally speaking, leather doesn’t like water. Make sure you keep it out of the rain, away from humidity, and dry it with a soft cloth if it gets wet.
We don’t recommend the use of wax, skin moisturizing creams, or leather sprays, except for suede, which may require a specific waterproofing treatment.
Care and repairs
Repairs such as restoring stitching, color coating edges, or replacing damaged metal hardware are free during the first year after your purchase.
